The 2026 Beijing Marathon will start on October 18.

This year’s Beijing Marathon also serves as the National Marathon Championships, with only the full marathon contested; runners will start from Tiananmen Square and finish at Olympic Park.

In recent years the Beijing Marathon’s entry fee has remained at ¥200 per person, and combined with the unique appeal of being the “national marathon,” registrations have grown year after year.

Last year the organizing committee adjusted the race size for the first time, expanding to 32,000 entrants—2,000 more spots than in previous years. Registrations topped 100,000 in the first hour, and more than 4,700 athletes went sub-3, a record high.
