Today, the Xiamen Marathon organizing committee announced the 2026 Xiamen Marathon lottery results. Data show that a total of 206,910 runners registered for the 2026 Xiamen Marathon, a record high. Of those, 65,889 were first-time applicants. Registrants came from 41 countries and 359 domestic cities. Among the more than 200,000 applicants, as many as 5,325 men have sub-3:00 times, and 496 women have sub-3:15 times, whilethe gender ratio is 77.7% male and 22.3% female. The 2026 Xiamen Marathon will have a field size of 35,000, including 10,000 automatic qualifiers and 2,106 permanent bib holders; the remaining applicants had a lottery acceptance rate of 10.73%. At the same time, the Xiamen Marathon also published the automatic-qualification standards and numbers. There are 14,489 men who met the entry criteria, of whom 7,477 met the automatic standard; 4,889 women met the entry criteria, of whom 2,523 met the automatic standard — an automatic-qualification rate of 51.6% for both. In general, the automatic-qualification times are more than 10 minutes faster than the entry times for each age group, with the largest gap being 52 minutes 04 seconds. After seeing the automatic-qualification cutoffs, did you make it? If you qualified automatically or were drawn in the lottery, be sure to complete your payment. The Xiamen Marathon's official information provides detailed instructions for runners on how to make the payment. The payment deadline is 18:00 on October 19. If payment is not made by this time, it will be considered a voluntary forfeiture of participation. These unpaid spots will be randomly reallocated to alternates by the organizing committee. Runners who were not selected should not forget to pay; if you pay before the payment deadline you will obtain alternate status. The alternate results will be announced at 10:00 on October 22.
