
On September 4 (Beijing time), the Chinese delegation for the 2026 Aichi–Nagoya Asian Games was officially formed in Beijing. The delegation comprises 1,274 people, including 815 athletes — 404 women and 411 men — who will compete across 38 sports and 369 events. The athletes' average age is 24, and athletes born after 2005 account for 27%.
The athletics contingent will number 102 people, including 72 athletes and a 30-person support group made up of delegation leaders, coaches, medical staff and translators. Notably, the marathon coaches were not included on the list.
The 2026 Aichi–Nagoya Asian Games will be held from September 19 to October 4, 2026, with athletics competitions scheduled for September 23–29, 2026 at Mizuho Park Athletic Stadium in Nagoya. We look forward to strong performances from China's athletes in Nagoya!
