2026 Chaigutang Kuocang Trail Race will take place from October 30 to November 1, featuring three categories (105K/50K/25K). Ahead of the race, another major announcement arrived: long-term partner Salomon has officially confirmed the second phase of this year’s Lighthouse Program, a move that represents substantial cash backing. With support from the Lighthouse Program, the prize for the 105K and 50K categories will be doubled this year. That means the 105K champion will receive an additional ¥65,000 on top of the organizing committee’s ¥65,000 prize, bringing the single-race winner’s total to as much as ¥130,000—surpassing the recent ¥120,000 single-race winner prize record set by the Ninghai Trail Challenge. Even on a global scale, Chaigu’s single-race winner prize likely ranks only behind UTMB Mont-Blanc, Broken Arrow Skyrace and Run Rabbit Run 100. At the same time, the prize coverage for this year’s Chaigu has expanded: the 105K payouts increase from last year’s top eight to the top ten, and the 50K payouts rise from last year’s top six to the top eight. The total prize pool this year has also been raised to ¥1.2 million, making it one of the few single-race events in the country with a million-yuan scale.
