

The 2026 UTMB race week MCC started at 16:00 Beijing time on August 24, 2026, departing from Martigny‑Combe, Switzerland, with the finish in Chamonix. The course was 40 km long with more than 2,300 m of cumulative ascent.
There were 1,456 starters, including 21 from mainland China — 12 men and 9 women.
In the end, 14 mainland Chinese runners reached the Chamonix finish (8 men, 6 women). Overall, 1,350 athletes finished the race and 106 did not, giving a finish rate of 92.7%.
David (Dingjun WU) from Paoye finished in 6:28:45, becoming the first mainland China athlete to cross the MCC finish this year.
French athlete Gatien Airiau won the men’s race in 03:26:58; Belgian Noemie Lepoutre took the women’s title in 03:55:55.
