In the early morning of July 11 Beijing time, the results of the Chongli 100 category at the ACG 2026 Chongli 168 Super Trail were finally decided.

The Chongli 100 category (distance 103.1 km, 5,105 m ascent) featured a night start this year; the race began at 20:00 on July 10. From the start the event was hit by heavy rain, and thousands of participants began a long night in the wet.

Guan Yousheng leaves the field behind to claim his first 100-km victory

With this year's race starting at night, the sun exposure and high temperatures that had troubled runners in previous years were gone, and speedsters like Guan Yousheng and Luo Tao pushed the race into a faster tempo from the start.

Guan Yousheng stayed out front throughout; after 40 km he led Luo Tao by more than three minutes. Guan's wife also supported him at a private aid station on the course for the first time.

Yu Xutao moved up to second after CP3 at Taiwu Ski Town, passing Gu Rongchao and Luo Tao. Last year's champion Batmengkai later surged past Yu to take second. The gaps between Yu Xutao, Luo Tao, Yun Yanqiao and Zhang Sheng were very small.

Guan Yousheng pressed on alone in the heavy rain, extending his gap over the chasing group — the first 100-km title was within reach.

10:28:04,Guan Yousheng delivered his answer in Chongli and finally opened his account of 100-km victories.

Last year's Chongli 100 champion Batmengkai again finished strongly in the later stages, securing second in 10:53:09.

Veteran Yun Yanqiao, who has been in hot form recently, rounded out the podium in 11:07:59.

Tang Jingyan returns to the peak, dominating to take the women's title

Tang Jingyan made an eye-catching start, reaching CP2 Honghualiang Tunnel Management Station about four minutes ahead of Varvara and Jiang Wenli.

In blistering form, Tang Jingyan extended her lead after the race hit the halfway mark; leaving the CP4 Xueruyi clothing-change point she held roughly an 11-minute advantage.

Arriving at CP5 Heping Rest Station, Tang still led while Zheng Wenrong began to chase. After passing Jiang Wenli, Zheng closed to within about three minutes of Varvara. Varvara then faded and dropped out of the top five, allowing Zheng Wenrong and Jiang Wenli to move into the top three.

The rest of the race fell to Tang Jingyan's rhythm as she expanded her lead, ultimately crossing the line first in 12:58:39 to claim another Chongli crown.

Zheng Wenrong held on to second, finishing in 13:34:51.

Congratulations to all the athletes on their excellent results!
