With last weekend’s 崇礼 168 越野赛 concluded, we compiled the podium shoe brands for the men’s and women’s 30, 50, 70, 100 and 168 km categories. See which brands helped these “ambitious” trail runners make their mark this year.
By the numbers, Salomon dominated the mountains — 3 golds, 2 silvers and 1 bronze, firmly in first place.
Zhang Huohua, Tang Jingyan, Manole and Chang Miaomiao all delivered across the board, picking up results in categories from 30km to 168km. In particular, it was a very good debut for the Future Team, which secured a top-three finish.
KAILAS FUGA stayed hot on their heels, with as many as seven different podium shoe models, leading the list by total count.
On the long-distance men’s and women’s podiums we saw outstanding performances from KAILAS FUGA athletes and products. 赵家驹 led the way by winning the 168km, EX PRO and EX 330 took up half the podium places in the longest-distance categories, and a test shoe also helped “管神” claim the 100km title.
Title sponsor ACG also delivered: the Kiger test shoe helped Meirow win the 30km, while their flagship retail trail racer Ultrafly took the women’s 70km crown.
Anta's champions also performed well: Yang Chunlong and Wang Min swept the men's and women's 50 km titles, with Qin Guidu close behind taking second in the men's race, showing the world the growing "ambition" of Chinese brands in the field of trail running.
Although adidas won only one medal, it was particularly precious. In the women's 168km 2h category, Chen Lin's runaway lead owed much to the support of the Da Su Liuxing 2 on her feet.
Additionally, Li‑Ning, HOKA, ASICS, CRAFT and Outdoor Agent also saw gains. For several of these emerging brands and those newly entering the trail-running field, that's already a success.
In the foreseeable future, the fight for podium spots may become even fiercer than competition for overall field presence.
