Guan Yousheng surged clear to claim his first-ever 100 km victory.
Because this year's race started at night, the sun exposure and high temperatures that used to trouble runners were gone, and speed-capable elites like Guan Yousheng and Luo Tao pushed the race to a faster tempo from the start.
Guan Yousheng stayed in the lead throughout; after 40 km he was already more than 3 minutes ahead of Luo Tao. Guan's wife also, for the first time, supported her husband's 100 km effort at a personal aid station on the course.
Yu Xutao overtook Gu Rongchao and Luo Tao consecutively after CP3 Taiwu Ski Town to move up to second. Last year's champion Ba Te Mengkai then came from behind to pass Yu Xutao and temporarily sit in second. The gaps between Yu Xutao, Luo Tao, Yun Yanqiao and Zhang Sheng were also very small.
Guan Yousheng continued alone in the heavy rain, steadily extending the gap to the group behind him—the first 100 km title was drawing nearer.
10:28:04,Guan Yousheng delivered his answer in Chongli and finally opened his championship "account" on the 100 km circuit.
Last year's Chongli 100 championBa Te Mengkai still finished strongly in the later stages, ultimately securing second place in 10:53:09.。
The veteran in red-hot recent formYun Yanqiao moved into the top three in 11:07:59.。

Tang Jingyan returned to the top, emphatically claiming the women's title.
Tang Jingyan made an eye-catching start to the race; she reached CP2 Honghualiang Tunnel Management Station about 4 minutes ahead of Varvara and Jiang Wenli.
In superb form, Tang Jingyan extended her lead again after the race reached the halfway point; leaving the CP4 Xueruyi kit-change point, Tang already held about an 11-minute advantage.
After arriving at CP5 Peace Station, Tang Jingyan continued to lead, while Zheng Wenrong began to press in this section; after passing Jiang Wenli she was only 3 minutes behind Varvara ahead of her, andVarvara then faded, dropping out of the top five, and Zheng Wenrong and Jiang Wenli moved into the top three.
From there the race fell completely into Tang Jingyan's rhythm and her lead steadily grew; she ultimately crossed the line first in 12 hours 58 minutes 39 seconds to stand atop Chongli and claim another championship title.
Zheng Wenrong held second to the finish, taking the runner-up spot in 13 hours 34 minutes 51 seconds.
