Chongli 168 category (distance 172.8 km, ascent 7,944 m)started at 8:00 a.m. on July 10; due to Typhoon "Bavi" this year, Chongli experienced strong convective weather and heavy rainstorms rolled in during the afternoon, significantly affecting the race.
However, both race winners Zhao Jiaju and Chen Lin staged comebacks in the heavy rain.

Zhao Jiaju broke the course record and secured his fourth Chongli crown.
The men's 100-mile battle, as expected, centered on last year's champion Ionel Manole, Chongli's "three-time champion" Zhao Jiaju, and Luo Canhua; through the daytime competition the three were inseparable.
After leaving CP8 Heping Aid Station,Ionel Manole surged first on the 9.6 km, 584 m-ascent section to CP9 Cuiyun Mountain Summit Restaurant, extending his lead to nearly 10 minutes at one point.
However, in the subsequent downpour Zhao Jiaju seemed to use the rain to rediscover his form and launched a furious chase; upon reaching CP10 Yunding Ski Park he erased the deficit and completed the overtake. At this CP a small incident occurred: because of the heavy rain, all the athletes were soaked, and Ionel Manole and Luo Canhua both tried to change clothes inside the station but were ultimately stopped by the officials.
Zhao Jiaju at CP10Yunding Ski Park thereafter maintained a steady performance, always holding about a 5-minute advantage. Afterwards,Zhao Jiaju grew stronger as the race went on, continuously extending his lead, while his teammate Luo Canhua regrettably withdrew at CP13 Wanlong Ski Resort.
Under torrential rain, people welcomed this year'sZhao Jiaju, the individual race champion who was the first to cross the finish line at the ACG 2026 Chongli 168 Super Trail Race, successfully achieved the remarkable feat of becoming a four-time Chongli champion.
Zhao Jiaju broke the Chongli 168 category course record with a time of 19 hours 01 minutes 32 seconds. The previous record was his 19 hours 28 minutes 41 seconds set in 2020, when that year’s runner-up was his then-teammate 梁晶.
The Romanian athlete who battled Zhao Jiaju all night.Ionel Cristian Manole ultimately finished second in 19 hours 16 minutes 55 seconds, returning to the Chongli podium.
Wu Chengkun, who broke through the pack in the heavy rain, became the third hundred-mile runner to cross the finish line; he took third overall in 21 hours 09 minutes 20 seconds, showing his dark-horse nature.

Chen Lin staged a comeback in the rain to successfully defend the Chongli 168 championship.
The women's competition centered on the "Demon King" Chi Lingjie and "Gege Lin" Chen Lin. In the early stages of the race, Zhao Fufen led for a time; she was not overtaken until CP5 Duolemeidi, after 59 kilometers, when Chi Lingjie passed her, and she was later overtaken by Chen Lin.
At CP7, during Xue Ruyi's kit change,Chi Lingjie at one point held about a five-minute lead, but Chen Lin performed excellently on the ascent to CP9, the Cuiyun Mountain Summit Restaurant, turned the tables and reached CP10, Yunding Ski Park, three minutes ahead of Chi Lingjie.
Chi Lingjie is fromShortly after leaving CP10 Yunding Ski Park, a withdrawal was recorded. As a result, Chen Lin's lead became more secure; Zhao Fufen, second among the women, and Qin Meiqing, third, were both still more than 45 minutes behind.
In the second half of the race, intermittent heavy rain tested all runners and 陈霖 seemed to slow slightly. Ultimately, with a steady performance, 陈霖 claimed another Chongli title by an absolute margin and finished eighth overall. Her winning time this yearwas 22 hours 46 minutes 17 seconds — one hour faster than when she won in Chongli last year.
