According to reports, the 2025 Beijing Marathon had more than 4,700 runners finish under 3 hours, surpassing the 3,004 from the 2024 Beijing Marathon. This is also the highest number of sub-3 finishers in Chinese marathon history; the previous record was 3,423 at the 2024 Wuxi Marathon.
