To all participants:
The 2025 Shanghai Marathon will start on November 30. To ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the event and to enhance participants' race experience, we hereby announce the following information regarding participation:
1. Start time arrangement
According to Article 10(3) of the Competition Regulations, this event will use staggered gun starts. The specific arrangements are as follows:

3. Race etiquette
(1) The race organizing committee will inform participants of the expected weather before race day to help with pre-race preparations. Before the start, please place disposable rain gear, disposable warming garments, water bottles and other trash at the sides of the course; do not discard them onto the course to avoid safety hazards.
(2) In keeping with the nature of road running events, participants must wear athletic clothing to compete. Accordingly, the race organizing committee requires all participants to wear clothing, shoes, and socks suitable for road running events. If attire does not meet the race requirements, the check-in referees and staff will ask the participant to make adjustments.
