2026 Hong Kong 100 elites unveiled — fans swoon!

The 2026 Hong Kong 100 is about to get underway; this afternoon, elite athletes from each category made a collective appearance. In the women's 50 km, South Africa's Toni McCann, Hungary's Eszter Csillag and Japan's Yuri Yoshizumi, together with China's rising stars Lei Yan, Zhang Ting and Luo Qiong, form a fiercely competitive lead group. On the men's side the action is equally compelling — Ueda Rui, Zhang Sheng, Tian Peng, Shi Aiai and Shi Guo all have podium potential. On Saturday the 100 km men's field brings together 42 top athletes from 13 countries. Meng Guangfu, Qin Guidu, Luo Tao, Yang Jianjian and He Fujun each have ITRA scores above 900, showing world-class depth. In the women's field Slovakia's Veronika Leng, China's Chi Lingjie and Vietnam's "Hoa" Hau Ha Thi are among the frontrunners; five athletes who stood on the podium over the past three editions, as well as competitors from the world trail running Grand Slam series, are all present. The Grand Slam (Grand Sam) category will see past Hong Kong 100 Grand Slam champions Wu Yongbo, Liang Disi, Sherpa Sangé and others on the start list.
