This year is the Shanghai Marathon’s 30th anniversary, and entries may hit a new record. But don’t worry — the event field has been increased from 23,000 last year to 30,000 this year, giving more runners the chance to race this dream course. This March the Shanghai Marathon successfully advanced to the second stage of the World Marathon Majors candidate-event qualification assessment.
