SALOMON has just announced the 2026 Golden Trail National Series China, comprising five races in total: four series stops and one grand final. The series starts on March 15 with the Donghai Trail and runs until May 30 with the Siguniang Mountain "Yunjian Huajing" trail running. The 2026 legs and the final are the same as in 2025, except Donghai Trail becomes the first stop and the Jiufeng Masters becomes the second stop. Trail Donghai and the Jiufeng Masters have opened registration and announced the elite athlete rules. Other races haven't opened registration yet, but it won't be long. In 2025 the Golden League China Series, spurred by the Lighthouse Program, attracted many elite athletes, and each race was hotly contested — some were decided only at the finish line. In the end Fan Banglin and Xiong Binbin won the overall men's and women's titles for the year, taking home the 200,000 yuan grand prize. We also saw a number of emerging talents, such as Yang Junqing, runner-up at the Siguniang Mountain final, who is not yet 20. With the release of the 2026 Golden League China Series schedule, elite athletes should plan their races carefully. Competition rules for elite athletes will be announced later. If you don’t meet the eligibility for elite status, you can still participate as a mass participant — mass registration channels will open gradually, so stay tuned. Although the 2026 Lighthouse Initiative hasn’t released its details yet, it’s expected to remain a major factor. So what stories will the 2026 Golden League China Series produce? Who will claim the overall season title? It’s something to look forward to.
