At 9:30 a.m. on April 12, 2026,the 2026 Turpan Jiaohe Half Marathon gun went off. With the people's favorite female runner Zhu Qing and popular runner Zhang Shuihua both participating, the race drew widespread attention.

Not long after the race started, Zhu Qing took the lead and gradually increased the pace, eventually winning in around 1 hour 12 minutes 16 seconds—very close to her personal best in the half marathon (1:11:52).

Zhang Shuihua started in third among the women. Around 11 km she caught up with and passed Li Chunxia, but was later overtaken by Li Chunxia and ultimately finished third in about 1 hour 16 minutes 14 seconds. Li Chunxia finished second with a time of about 1 hour 15 minutes 44 seconds.

In the men's race, Xinjiang native Duosibaole led from the start; although he slowed a bit in the final moments, he still took the win in about 1 hour 5 minutes 40 seconds.

Although the Turpan Jiahe Half Marathon is classified as a C-level event, the prize purse is generous: 20,000 RMB for the winner and an additional 10,000 RMB for breaking the event record. Duosibaole and Zhu Qing both broke the event records and each received 30,000 RMB in prize money.
