Elite entry list announced for the 2026 The North Face 100 — Emei Mountain Trail Challenge

2026 The North Face 100 Emei Mountain Trail Challenge adopts a two-week format: April 18–19 is Wendao Week, and April 25–26 is Peak Week. The challenges in Peak Week are more advanced, making it the main stage for elite competitors. Peak Week features four categories: 27 km, 50 km, 75 km and 102 km. Looking at the overall elite roster, the field is strong with high competitive level and spectator interest. First, the 102 km category: On the men's side, Yang Jianjian and Zhang Sheng, both with ITRA performance scores above 900, lead the field. Runners such as Gu Rongchao, Tian Peng, Huang Wei and Li Ke have the potential to shake things up. On the women's side, the title is more open: Chen Lin, Zheng Wenrong, Li Anna and Jiang Wenli all have a shot at victory, while Wang Liping and Tang Jingyan are also worth watching. Compared with the 102 km field, the 75 km category—both men’s and women’s—is not as hotly contested. Yun Yanqiao is the favorite for the men's title; can The North Face athlete Wang Jiqian defend home honor? Another The North Face athlete, Ruby Lindquist, is a strong contender for the women's victory. In the 50 km, Qin Guidu is the top favorite on the men's side—how much of a threat can Zi Juwei pose? On the women's side, French runner Marion DELESPIERRE has a clear advantage and is the odds-on favorite. In the 27 km, on the men's side, keep an eye on marathon specialist Nianzhe Ati—he finished third in the 25 km at the Panda Shudao Mountain race at the end of March. On the women's side, the battle between Zhang Ting and Yang Yan could be intense. So, who do you think will take the win? #EmeiMountainTrailChallenge #TheNorthFace #YangJianjian #QinGuidu #TrailRunningBigBang
