On January 11 this year at the Xiamen Marathon, Li Dalin, Liu Yingcai and Zhao Guohu all successfully ran under the 2:19:20 mark to meet the National Athlete technical-grade standard. Li Dalin ran 2:13:24 to finish third among Chinese runners; Liu Yingcai (2:18:56) and Zhao Guohu (2:18:57) finished seventh and eighth among Chinese runners, respectively. This year China's technical-grade qualification rules for track and field athletes allow athletes to earn the titles of International Elite Athlete and National Elite Athlete through Platinum Label races, so the Xiamen Marathon has become an important route for many mass runners seeking qualification.
