The 2026 Wuxi Marathon released its notice today: bib numbers are now available for lookup, and wave/zone assignments have been published.
Which zone have you been assigned to?
Like last year, this year's Wuxi Marathon will start in three waves: Wave 1 at 7:00, Wave 2 at 7:20, and Wave 3 at 7:40.
Last year the race had 12 zones; this year that has been reduced to 10. Wave 1 lost one zone, and the fun-run zone in the final wave has been removed.
Because the number of zones was reduced, the qualifying time thresholds for the A+ and A zones have been relaxed. The A+ full marathon cutoff moved from 2:46:38 to 2:53:51, and the A+ half-marathon cutoff from 1:15:40 to 1:19:01. The A full marathon cutoff moved from 3:00:22 to 3:06:07, and the A half-marathon cutoff from 1:21:58 to 1:24:35.
Although the zone thresholds were relaxed, the cutoffs by start wave have been tightened considerably. Wave 1 full marathon cutoff moved from 3:39:08 to 3:19:23, and the half-marathon cutoff from 1:39:36 to 1:30:37 — which should significantly reduce the number of runners in that wave.
Wave 2 full marathon cutoff changed from 4:23:19 to 4:05:48, and the half-marathon cutoff from 1:59:43 to 1:51:44.
