The 2026 Meishan Renshou Half Marathon in Sichuan will be held on March 15 (this Sunday). The men’s and women’s elite entry lists are out — calling it a clash of the titans would be no exaggeration. The foreign men’s contingent is exceptionally strong: two runners are under 59 minutes, including last year’s Shanghai Marathon champion Milkesa Mengesha TOLOSA. A full-marathon 2:02-level ace, last year’s Dongma runner-up Deresa Gelata ULFATA, will also contest the title. On the domestic men’s side, Dong Guojian, Jia Erenjia, National Games 10,000m champion Tang Haoran, plus independent runners Li Dalin, Di Yun and a number of other domestic top talents will take part. On the women’s side, Zhang Deshun ranks fifth on paper overall and first among Chinese entrants. Track specialist Wuga He and Liang Tiantian, along with marathon names Lu Ying, Xu Bingjie and Xia Yuyu, will also vie for spots on the podium.
