Today, the Wuhan Marathon Organizing Committee held a press conference to announce details for the 2026 Wuhan Marathon. In addition to the race packet, fuel pack, finisher pack, race T-shirt and finisher medal, a special memento has been prepared specifically for sub-3 runners — the "Ring of the Hero".

The ring features a prominent gold numeral "3", symbolizing the sub-3 achievement. The main body is crafted from pure copper in the Wuhan Marathon's purple-and-gold primary color scheme, with cherry blossom patterns engraved on the sides to immortalize Wuhan's cherry blossoms in full bloom in metal.

This year's Wuhan Marathon medal is minted by the Shanghai Mint and is inspired by a Ming-dynasty gold ingot in the Hubei Provincial Museum's collection; the inner ring borrows a petal-shaped motif.

For the first time, the course covers all seven central urban districts of Wuhan, uniquely starting on the north bank of the Yangtze River and finishing on the south bank.

In addition, the organizing committee will issue RMB 10 million in sports consumption vouchers, offering exclusive discounts to Wuhan Marathon participants; the course will also be supported by an 8,000-person volunteer team for race services.
