2026 ANTA Champion Hong Kong 100 — Grand Slam Division Day 1 Top 10 (Men & Women)

The 2026 Anta Champion Hong Kong 100 Grand Slam category completed its first day of racing today. On the men’s side, Chinese runner Zhang Zhenlong grabbed the early lead; he ran 2:34:54 to take third in the 31K. In a post-race interview he said that because he’d been affected by a cold, today’s strategy was to push the pace — both to wake up his legs and to take the temperature of his condition — and that he plans to run more steadily in tomorrow’s 50 km race. Chinese runner Xiong Zhengqiang and Filipino Arnie Macaneras came in second and third respectively. Last year’s Grand Slam men’s champion Wu Yongbo is currently fifth, 2023 Grand Slam champion Liang Disi is sixth, and Nepal star Sange Sherpa is tenth. On the women’s side, Chinese athlete Deng Ronghua topped day one, leading defending champion Zhao Fen in second, with Xu Ting close behind in third. Two Macau Chinese athletes and one Hong Kong Chinese athlete occupy sixth through eighth places. After day one the men’s race is tightly contested, with only a small gap between first and second, while Deng Ronghua has opened up a lead of more than four minutes over Zhao Fen in the women’s field. But the three-day Grand Slam category has only just begun — let’s wait and see how the competition unfolds over the next two days! #HK100 #HK100 #trail running #Trail Running Big Bang
