This year at the Chongqing Marathon the top three overall in both the men’s and women’s races featured Chinese athletes on the podium. Feng Peiyou produced a late sprint to overtake and courageously claimed 2nd overall in the men’s race, while Zhu Qing powered through in the latter stages to surge onto the podium and take 3rd in the women’s race.   On the running-shoe leaderboard, the men’s and women’s overall top three were dominated by the Xtep 160X series. Among the top three domestic finishers Xtep also occupied the top two spots for both men and women, accounting for two-thirds and successfully defending the “home honor.” Today’s standout, Wu Mingyao, helped Zhongqiao Feiying PLAID claim a place, and the Alphafly 3 Shanghai Marathon colorway—recently accompanying Ding Changqin—helped NIKE make the list.
