Recently, the course for the marathon at the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games was officially released.
The course starts and finishes at Nagoya City's Mizuho Park Stadium, using a single approximately 20 km loop.
Athletes will depart from Mizuho Park Stadium and turn right at the Mizuho Sports Ground West intersection to enter the loop.
The route then heads north along the loop previously used by the Nagoya Women's Marathon, turns left at the Uchiyama-cho intersection, turns right at the Sakura-dori Otsu intersection near the Nagoya TV Tower, continues to the Meijo Park intersection to turn back, and finally returns to the Mizuho Sports Ground West intersection.
Overall the course has modest elevation changes, but the gentle slope in front of Nagoya City Hall — a decisive section in the Nagoya Women's Marathon — is expected to be a key point that could influence the race outcome.
The marathon at the Nagoya Asian Games will be held on September 26, 2026; the men's race starts at 8:30 (Beijing Time) and the women's race at 8:50 (Beijing Time).
