With the halo of a "Grand Slam," Shanghai Marathon entries are getting harder to win; after the organizers published the first lottery results at the end of last month, it was joy for some and sorrow for others.

But friends who haven’t been drawn yet, don’t be discouraged — this afternoon (July 28) the organizers will announce the Shanghai Marathon supplementary lottery results. Remember to check the Shanghai Marathon official website / app to see whether you got a spot.

If you were drawn, after celebrating be sure to complete payment to lock in your entry.

The payment deadline for the Shanghai Marathon is August 4 at 17:00.

Anyone who misses the payment deadline will be considered to have forfeited their spot and will not be able to obtain an entry to this year’s Shanghai Marathon by any other means. Don’t miss such a valuable spot!

If you didn’t get a spot, what’s your Plan B?

Choose another upcoming race like the Nanjing Marathon or Guangzhou Marathon? Or join the Shanghai Marathon cheer squad and take part in a different way?

Or switch venues — head into the hills to focus on the Ninghai Trail Challenge or the Da Shudao 100; step into the arena at HYROX Guangzhou or Sanya to feel the rush of giving it your all — or just completely lie flat…
