This Sunday at 7:30 a.m., the fourth stop of the Colorful Guizhou Marathon Super League — the Liupanshui Marathon — fired the starting gun as scheduled.
This year's Liupanshui Marathon also optimized the course, with less climbing and a focus on letting runners run more smoothly.
This morning Liupanshui recorded 19°C and 69% humidity; overcast skies with an occasional breeze created excellent conditions for the runners—rare for mid‑July.
In the men's race, Guo Zhongrui won the marathon in 2:22:04,Li Jinhaowon the half marathon in 1:07:38;
In the women's races, Li Renxiang won the marathon in 2:48:00, and Zhu Qing won the half marathon in 1:15:22, breaking the course record.

The "people's top female" Zhu Qing, Yang Xinyun,
both broke the women's half‑marathon course record.
The women's half has long been a duel between Zhu Qing and Yang Xinyun.

After 19 km Zhu Qing surged again and completely dropped Yang Xinyun; averaging a 3:34/km pace, she was highly likely to break the course record set by Ding Changqin in 2025.
In the end Zhu Qing and Yang Xinyun broke the women's half‑marathon course record with 1:15:22 and 1:15:50, respectively.
This race also fully demonstrated Zhu Qing's pure speed in the sub‑plateau environment, and the title "the people's top female" is well deserved.
02
Youngsters Li Jinhao and Li Xinyu took first and second place.
In the men's half, 22‑year‑old Li Xinyu ran the first 5 km in about 15:30 at high speed, but then slowed somewhat to 15 km, completing the 5–15 km segment in just over 32 minutes.
Although his speed was already very fast, he would have needed an extra push in the final 6 km to challenge the men's half‑marathon course record.

Li Xinyu's late slowdown allowed his early first‑pack companionLi Jinhao to catch up.23‑year‑old Li Jinhao, after overtaking, ran progressively faster over the final 2 km and finished in 1:07:38. Fang Bo finished 7th.

Guo Zhongrui held firm under pressure, broke away to lead solo and claimed the title.
Following Wang Jie, Cheng Lianchao and six others finished as runners-up.
The men's full marathon competition remained very competitive, featuring Hong Yue (PB 2:08 and a four-time participant in the Liupanshui Marathon), Guan Yousheng and Yang Chunlong (who had just finished the Chongli 168 trail race), Guo Zhongrui — Liupanshui's top runner — veteran Cen Wanjiang, and others.
However, considering Guan Yousheng and Yang Chunlong's recent workloads, they are very likely not to chase results in this race; instead they will use the competition as training.
After the race began, Guo Zhongrui and mass runner Liu Jun set a very fast pace for the lead group; after 7 km only elite runner Hong Yue could keep up, Cen Wanjiang had slightly dropped off, and Guan Yousheng conservatively stayed with the second group.
At the 11 km turnaround, the lead group led by Hong Yue and Guo Zhongrui had put nearly 300 m between themselves and the trailing Guan Yousheng. The second group was now down to just "Laomo."

After 24 km, Guo Zhongrui established an advantage on an uphill section, running alone in the lead and putting nearly 100 m between himself and the pair behind, Cen Wanjiang and Hong Yue.
But what veteran Cen Wanjiang excels at is chasing in the final stages; he isn't the least bit afraid of climbs or high altitude. In those closing moments, can he and the physically stronger Hong Yue add a new dynamic?

At the 37 km mark, Wang Jie surged from eighth in the men's race all the way up to second, even overtaking Hong Yue and Cen Wanjiang. In the final stage of the race, the suspense returned. At 40 km he briefly closed the gap with Guo Zhongrui to under 80 m; we were all eager to see whether Wang Jie could pull off such a comeback.
Unfortunately, in the end Guo Zhongrui noticed Wang Jie closing in from behind, gritted his teeth and accelerated, maintained his lead, and ultimately, as the "host", smoothly claimed the championship.
Ultimately.Guo Zhongrui finished in 2:22:04.With that performance, he won the men's full marathon title;Wang Jie ultimately staged a dramatic comeback, finishing in 2:22:42 to take second place; Hong Yue also completed the race in third place. Congratulations to the three competitors.

Li Renxiang delivered a steady performance to win the championship.
Huang Fei, in poor form, fell off the pace at the halfway mark.
In the women's full marathon, Huang Fei maintained a leading advantage after the start, with Li Renxiang staying close behind within 100 meters.
Because of the characteristics of the Liupanshui sub-plateau, Huang Fei did not blindly sprint after the start or during the first half; instead she chose to hold a steady pace behind the male elite runners from the mass field.
At the 12 km mark, Li Renxiang caught up to Huang Fei. But with the current pace of roughly 3:47 per kilometer, mounting a challenge to the course record was already fairly difficult.

At 23 km, Huang Fei—perhaps unsettled by the high-altitude conditions—fell out of the lead group and was dropped by Li Renxiang by a 1-minute gap. Can she adjust in the latter stages and catch up to Li Renxiang in time?
Meanwhile, local Liupanshui runners Lu Yinxiu and Xiao Yan gradually closed the gap and passed Huang Fei, who was struggling in the second half but still persevering.
In the final 8 km, Li Renxiang ran increasingly comfortably accompanied by a group of mass runners; the women's second pack behind her had long since disappeared from view.Li Renxiang held her advantage and clinched the title in 2:48:00.
After Li Renxiang, Lu Yinxiu (2:50:40) and Xiao Yan (2:52:05) crossed the line about two minutes apart, taking the women's marathon silver and bronze.
Huang Fei did not drop out; she ultimately finished fourth.
