Age restrictions:Except that YCC is restricted to those born between 2007 and 2012, other categories require participants to be at least 20 years old (born in 2006 or earlier).

Pre-registration for the three main final categories requires at least one valid running stone (obtained within the past 24 months), and must have the corresponding UTMB Index. (Note: If you are not selected in the draw, the running stone will not be consumed. The more running stones you have, the higher your chance of being selected.)

UTMB (100M): requires a valid 100K/100M index

CCC (100K): requires a valid 50K/100K/100M index

OCC (50K): requires a valid 20K/50K/100K/100M index

The PTL category has finished its application phase, and results have been sent by email.

TDS category pre-registration starts at 18:00 Beijing time on January 13 — first come, first served, until full. You do not need to have completed the "Stone" run, but you do need a valid 100K or 100M index.

MCC category is only for local athletes, volunteers, partners, journalists and influencers, and is not open to the public.

ETC category will also be decided by lottery this year. Pre-registration and the lottery follow the same schedule as the UTMB, CCC and OCC categories. No qualifying races are required, and a valid UTMB index is not necessary.

YCC category pre-registration starts at 18:00 on January 13 (Beijing Time). Registration is first-come, first-served until capacity is reached. Only those born between 2007 and 2012 are eligible to register.

Please note: Each runner may register for only one race. Entries that register for multiple races will be canceled and no refunds will be given.

Runners can choose to pre-register for the lottery as a team: if one entry is drawn, the whole team gets in; if not, none do. Team registration requires a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 12. (Note: All team members must meet the eligibility requirements for the category they enter, and the entry must be in a lottery-eligible category.)

When the lottery is drawn, the baseline is the smallest number of run-stones held by any team member. If a slot is won, everyone deducts the same number of run-stones equal to that minimum. Team members may register for different races (ETC, OCC, CCC, UTMB).

This year's UTMB category entry fee is 479 euros(about 4,000 RMB), which is 40 euros (about 326 RMB) more than last year, but in addition to this fee there is an "additional charge." This year the organizers require all participants to pay a carbon emissions fee, which is

How is this fee calculated? It estimates carbon emissions based on the round‑trip distance and mode of transport from the participant’s departure point, Chamonix, and then charges €25 per tonne of CO2.

Runners have already posted their carbon fees on social media. From Paris: train €0.5, electric car €0.61, petrol car €5.93, plane €7.07. From Beijing it’s about €94, equivalent to RMB 770. Basically, the farther the distance, the higher the fee. So, a runner living in China registering would typically pay about RMB 4,800.

If, during the pre-registration stage, you commit to choosing the lowest-carbon travel option and not driving a private car to Chamonix, your chances of being selected increase by 30%.
