60 km, 3,500 m+ vertical gain — in the 2026 UTMB main event OCC category the men’s race produced a winner. Making his OCC debut, French runner Frédéric TRANCHAND (Merrell Running) showed a strong attack: he was in the men's lead group from the start, and after pre-race favorite Rémi Bonnet withdrew he moved into the lead, ultimately crossing first in 5:10:08 to claim victory. This is also the first time in 10 years a French athlete has topped the UTMB OCC.

Kenyan Nashon KIPLIMO (Salomon) finished second in 5:14:37, and Spain’s 2002-born prospect Miguel BENITEZ (Asics) took third in 5:17:43.

Pre-race favorite, Swiss standout Rémi Bonnet, was forced to withdraw due to injury at the La Giète CP.
