June 18, 2026 — the 2026 HYROX World Championship is in full swing in Stockholm, Sweden. Ahead of the Elite 15 race, the organizers issued a major announcement: the 2027 HYROX World Championship will take place in Hong Kong, China, from June 10 to 13, 2027. This will be the first time since HYROX began staging World Championships in 2019 that the marquee event will be held in Asia. The five World Championships prior to Stockholm were held in Oberhausen, Germany; Las Vegas and Chicago, USA; Manchester, UK; and Nice, France. Notably, HYROX held its first Asian event in 2022 — also in Hong Kong — and Hong Kong has once again become an important HYROX outpost for the Asia-Pacific region. As HYROX surges around the world, enthusiasm for hosting and participating in Asia continues to grow. This year’s Hong Kong event attracted more than 20,000 participants, and in the past two years HYROX events have also been emerging in mainland China, Japan, and South Korea.
