Wuhan Marathon to host 30,000 runners; gun goes March 22

At 10:30 AM, the Wuhan Marathon held a press briefing:

The 2026 Wuhan Marathon will start at 7:30 AM on March 22, 2026, featuring marathon and half marathon events, with a total field size of 30,000 participants.

The full marathon and half marathon fields have been expanded by 5,000 entries compared with this year; the full marathon increased by 2,000,total 17,000 participants; the half marathon added 3,000,total 13000 participants.

The start of the 2026 Wuhan Marathon will remain on Yanjiang Avenue, and the full marathon finish will be moved to the Qingshan Riverside Beach on the Yangtze River, fully linking Wuhan's seven central urban districts for the first time.

Race registration will open today at 14:00 and close at 14:00 on the 19th, with entry confirmations expected to be released in early January.
