On June 2, German runner Joyce Hübner (Joyce Hübner) successfully completed 367 marathons in 367 days, breaking the women's world record. The previous record holder was Belgian runner Hilde Dosogne (Hilde Dosogne), who ran 42.195 kilometers every day throughout 2024.
Joyce said in an interview,"the world record holder Joyce Xu Buna"sounds very"crazy".This title feels somewhat unreal to her."I'm now the woman in the world who has completed the most consecutive marathons; that sounds more impressive. Saying that feels good."

Joyce from Berlin only started running about 11 years ago, and in 2018 she completed her first marathon. She's no stranger to running consecutive marathons:In 2023 she ran along the German border and over 143 days, completed 120 marathons.
She has posted the record of each run on her personal social media account; finish times range from 4 to 6 hours, and sometimes elevation gain exceeds 1,000 meters. Photos and videos show that more and more people are joining her running journey.
However, for her, the 367th marathon is far from the finish line. The 38-year-old runner is undertaking her biggest challenge yet: running through more than 2,000 German cities.

Joyce said:"Each day it's hard to start over; I never know what I'll face."
All told, she will complete 495 marathons in 495 days, covering over 21,300 kilometers. So far, Joyce hasn't scheduled a single rest day for herself. According to the plan, the remaining 128 marathons won't be an exception. She expects to complete on October 8 the“Joyce City Tour”(Joyce Städtetrip),终点将是柏林。
Even when it seemed she was nearing the finish, she still said:"There are still about 5000 kilometers to run before returning to Berlin; I dare not be careless at all".
Can you imagine running a marathon every single day for an entire year?
