French President Emmanuel Macron ran with marathon legend Eliud Kipchoge — a surprising and delightful scene that took place yesterday on the streets of Kenya!

It was HOKA's Elevon, a running shoe first released in 2018.Notably, from last year's G7 to Chengdu and now to Nairobi, Macron has been wearing the same HOKA Elevon shoes, showing how much the French president likes this pair.

Among world leaders, French president Macron is definitely a "running enthusiast". Last year at the G7 summit in Canada, his private photographer posted a set of photos of him going for early morning runs during the meetings, and when he later visited Chengdu, local runners also photographed him running in Jincheng Lake Park.

Eliud Kipchoge's shoes were much more 'up to date' than Macron's; he was wearing Nike's latest Pegasus 42. He also gave Macron a pair of Pegasus 42 as a gift. Judging by the colorway, it appears to be the exclusive team colorway made for Eliud Kipchoge's dsm-firmenich Running Team .

It has to be said that, although Macron's outfit comes from the French brand Le Coq Sportif — the Rooster, but with dsm-firmenich Running Team colored Pegasus 42, it actually looks quite "fitting".
