On December 3, the "Love Huangpu · Move Together — Huangpu District Charity Walk and Charity Auction Gala" kicked off. As the core event of Huangpu District's seventh Sports Association Festival, the event not only linked citizens' enthusiasm for exercise with a 3-kilometer walk, but also unveiled the "Huangpu Sports Charity Initiative" brand plan. Using sport as a bond to activate charitable energy, the initiative injects fresh momentum into building a "Warm Huangpu", making the city's social-welfare warmth visible and tangible. Song Hui, member of the Party Leadership Group and first-class inspector of the Shanghai Municipal Sports Bureau; Zhao Guangsheng, executive vice chairman of the Shanghai Sports Federation; and Yuan Yuan, deputy head of the Huangpu District People's Government, jointly witnessed the plan's launch. This event was guided by the Shanghai Municipal Sports Bureau and the Shanghai Sports Federation, organized by the Huangpu District Sports Bureau and Huangpu District Sports Federation, and hosted by the Huangpu District Sports Social Organizations Service Center, with collaborative support from bodies including the China Association for Promoting Democracy Shanghai Huangpu District Committee and the Shanghai Sports Development Foundation. From the early-morning walk check-in to the on-site charity announcement, flag presentation, and charity auction, every segment revolved around "sports for the people, charity warming the city." The official debut of the "Huangpu Sports Charity Initiative" brand elevates the event from a one-off charitable action to a branded exploration of long-term public service. According to organizers, the brand plan aims to build the "Huangpu Sports Charity" sports-public-welfare IP under the slogan "Love Huangpu, Move Together for Good." Through the implementation of three major sections and nine projects, it intends to make sports charity visible, tangible and participatory, using sport as the core medium, focusing on special groups such as injured athletes in Huangpu, while also responding to the sports needs of students in remote mountain areas, conveying health concepts and social care, and directing charity resources to essential scenarios. Huangpu District Sports Bureau director Pan Minhong said: "The 'Huangpu Sports Charity Initiative' is not a short-term activity but our long-term commitment to cultivating a 'Warm Huangpu' — using the vitality of sport to drive the heat of charity, so that every citizen can feel the sense of gain and happiness brought by Huangpu sports." After the brand release, a series of supporting charitable actions were launched simultaneously: eight caring companies took up the charity flag, four outstanding charity instructors were presented with flags, and seven sports clubs signed on to join the charity camp. In addition, five companies signed charity cooperation agreements with the district sports bureau, backing the brand plan in multiple dimensions including funding, venues and media. On-site, the warmth of the "Huangpu Sports Charity Initiative" was evident in the details: the 3-kilometer walk route featured charity publicity boards to convey the "exercise + charity" concept to citizens; all nine items in the charity auction were donated by caring organizations, and proceeds will be earmarked for the initiative's public-welfare project caring for injured athletes. Among the nine auction items, 跑野大爆炸 donated a signed singlet set by Eliud Kipchoge to support the event. The set not only bears Kipchoge's autograph from his visit to Shanghai last week but also embodies the charity enthusiasm of the athlete and the entire 跑野大爆炸 team. 跑野大爆炸 had already been deeply involved earlier in Huangpu's sports charity actions. At last week's Shanghai Sports Expo, the "Huangpu Yi Qi Ai, 跑野爱循环 — Idle Race T-Shirt Recycling Program," a collaboration between the Huangpu District Sports Social Organizations Service Center and 跑野大爆炸, drew wide attention and support from all sectors of society. Over the three days of the expo, runners continuously dropped their unused shirts and shorts into the collection boxes, letting love circulate. The launch of the "Huangpu Sports Charity Initiative" marks a new stage for the Huangpu District Sports Bureau's sports charity work. In the future, the bureau will use the brand as a lever to continuously promote the precise alignment of sports resources with people's livelihood needs, making sport a "bridge" connecting government and citizens and activating social goodwill. Through tangible charitable actions, it aims to make the livelihood ethos of a "Warm Huangpu" more pronounced, ensuring every step of the city's development is grounded in the original intent to serve the people.
