The 2025 Hangzhou Marathon will start on November 2. Below is the elite entry list. As with the Beijing Marathon, many of the country's top-tier athletes will miss this Hangzhou race because of the National Games.
On the women's side, Ethiopia's Ruti Aga SORA (PB 2:18:09) leads the field. In third is Australia's four-time Olympian Lisa Jane Weightman, who ran the Wuxi Marathon six months ago. Domestic entrants include Zhu Qing, Li Chunxia and others.
On the men's side there are four sub-2:10 runners. The fastest PB belongs to Ethiopia's Chalu Deso Gelmisa at 2:04:53. Domestic entrants include Su Guoxiong, Guan Yousheng, Wang Hongwei and Zhao Changhong.

This year's Hangzhou Marathon has a total prize pool of $120,000. If a Chinese athlete breaks the domestic course record they can receive 100,000 yuan; even without breaking the record they can take home 75,000 yuan. Who are you backing?
