At 7:30 on the morning of October 31, 2025 Ring Siguniang Mountain Super Trail,ZYZH Freedom of Soul 45 km category started under the dual assault of rain and snow.

The course start is set at the Shuangqiaogou Redwood Forest Scenic Area. Total distance 44.3 km, cumulative ascent 1,718 m, cumulative descent 2,539 m, with a 13-hour cutoff. The 45 km category reaches a maximum altitude of 4,500m+ — snow-capped peaks, high passes, scree and cold winds make the course challenging despite the shorter distance.

Despite poor weather, with runners starting in snow and finishing in rain, the scenery along the course was healing and comforting to the runners, and the late-autumn views of Mount Siguniang remained stunning.

After a morning of intense competition, the 45 km category crowned its champions at midday, with KAILAS FUGA elite athletes, Italy's William Boffelli and Giuditta Turini, taking the men's and women's titles respectively.

On the men's side, William Boffelli led for almost the entire race and, after a battle with Chinese runners Dirihati and Gesang Wangdui, used his excellent climbing ability to prevail,in just 4 hours 26 minutes 14 seconds.

The original men's runner-up Dirihati was penalized 30 minutes for missing a short section near the finish, ultimately finishing third in 5:07:42; the runner-up spot went to Qilin Zhishi in 4:56:12.

On the women's side it was a solo performance by Giuditta Turini — she had virtually no rivals throughout and ultimately won in 6:47:12. Zhang Xue finished runner-up in 8:17:57;Feng Jingjing took third in 8:49:37.

In addition, today's full live broadcast of the first 45 km category gave viewers plenty to enjoy. At 11 p.m. tonight the 75 km category will start, and we'll be awaiting the return of the 100 km champion late into the night.
