Today, the 2025 SCO Kunming Marathon released registration information. Registration will open on October 30 at 10:10 and close on November 5 at 18:00.

According to the registration information, last year the SCO Kunming Marathon offered four events: full marathon, half marathon, the SCO Run (5 km), and a parent-child run (2.024 km). This year only the full marathon and half marathon remain.

That means the SCO Run and the parent-child run have been canceled. However, the full marathon field has increased by 4,000 spots compared with last year, and the half marathon field has increased by 6,000 spots. The total number of participants remains the same as last year.

Also, regarding registration fees, a foreign-entry fee has been set: the full marathon is $50 per person, and the half marathon is $30 per person.

The SCO Kunming Marathon is a World Athletics Gold Label event, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and it is organized by the SCO, so there will certainly be foreign athletes participating — which is why a foreign registration fee has been set.
