On the other hand, the fitness run was, for many recreational runners, essentially their only opportunity to participate in the Shanghai Marathon; for them it is truly a pity.However, although the fitness run and charity entries were cancelled, the Shanghai Marathon has immediately released more spots for full marathon runners. According to the announcement, in order to meet the needs of more runners and provide as many participation opportunities as possible, the organizing committee willhold a supplemental lottery for runners who were not selected in the first-round full marathon draw. Results of the supplemental lottery will be announced on the afternoon of October 27. Successful entrants will be notified via SMS to their mobile phones, so please be sure to watch for the message.
Lottery winners must, after the draw results are announced on October 27, 2025, log in to the Shanghai Marathon official website or the Shanghai Marathon app and complete the registration process and pay the entry fee no later than 18:00 on October 29; failure to pay by the deadline will be considered an automatic forfeiture of the entry, and the entry may not be obtained by any other means.
