1. In the 1500m final, Li Wu produced a decisive kick in the closing stages to overtake Xie Dongsheng, winning in 3:45.54 and setting a PB! In the final phase Yin Zihao also surged past to take second in 3:46.34, while Xie Dongsheng finished third in 3:46.52.
2. In the women's 3000m final, Luo Xia held a commanding lead — about 50m clear of the runner-up in the second half — and comfortably defended her title in 9:39.52. Yang Yiting took silver in 9:45.11, and Zhang Shanshan bronze in 9:47.11.
3. In the men's 400m semifinals, Li Minghao, after breaking into the 46s and setting a PB in the morning heats, ran 45.82s in tonight's semis for a second PB in one day. Liu Kai, Liao Hongyang, Yang Zongwen, Liang Baotang, Li Minghao, Li Xiang and others advanced to the final — looking forward to their showdown.
4. In the women's 400m semifinals, Liu Yutong stormed to 53.05s, a substantial PB of nearly 1.0s compared with her 2024 mark, moving her to fourth on this season's best list. Li Fengdan, Shen Yunnan, Han Jiayao, Liu Yutong, Jiang Yutong, Lei Yuxin, Yuan Meng, Zuo Siyu and others advanced to the final — eagerly anticipating their battle.
5. In the women's high jump final, Lu Jiawen secured victory with a penultimate clearance of 1.90m — an early birthday gift. Hebei's Hu Linpeng took silver, while Sichuan's Zhang Yuanwen, Guangdong's Chen Meiqi and Beijing's Jin Ruoxuan tied for bronze.
6. In the 110m semifinals, Liu Junqiang (Liu Junxi) had a quick reaction at the start and, together with Qin Weibo, advanced smoothly. In the second heat Zhang Zijun and Zhao Shiqi crossed the line almost simultaneously, separated by thousandths. The much-anticipated Xu Zhuoyi was unfortunately absent from the third heat; Chen Yuanjiang and Ning Xiaohan advanced.
