This week the most talked-about event in the trail running community is the Aran Valley by UTMB in Spain. The race features many categories: VDA 163 km, CDH 110 km, TDL 75 km, PDA 55 km, EXP 32 km, SKY 18 km, and more. Chinese men's elite athlete Wang Ruqin is competing in the PDA 50 km category; the race started this afternoon Beijing time. Yao Miao will race in the CDH 110 km category — this is her first 100-km-level event in three years. Her last was the 2023 Ninghai 100 km, where she won the title. Last year she also ran the Aran Valley trail race and set the women's course record for the 50 km category. 跑野 will livestream these two categories — follow Wang Ruqin and Yao Miao's race in real time.
