September 8, HOKA officially announced it will be the strategic partner of the 2026 Asia-Pacific Trail Running Championships (APTRC).

The APTRC is the highest-level event led by the International Trail Running Association (ITRA) in the Asia-Pacific region, and the first continental championship–level competition in Asia-Pacific trail running; this will be its first edition hosted in China.

The APTRC will run concurrently with the Da Wuyi Super Trail Race, together forming the "2026 Asia-Pacific Trail · Wuyishan Super Race Week." Starting November 25, Wuyishan will welcome a super week of trail running.

Specific race dates:

2nd APTRC: November 25–27, 2026

11th Da Wuyi Super Trail Race: November 28–29, 2026

The APTRC features three categories—Long Trail (80km), Short Trail (40km), and U23 (15km)—and uses a dual-award system combining individual placings with country/region team aggregate scores. This edition in China will, for the first time, open public/open categories to mass runners so more trail enthusiasts can take part.

HOKA has arranged comprehensive support across the event—from pre-race equipment support and on-course aid to post-race recovery services.

Over the years HOKA has been building a pathway "from your first trail to the world peak," introducing newcomers through the "Fly Run Carnival" and forming deep partnerships with races like Da Wuyi and UTMB. With this cooperation with the Asia-Pacific Trail Running Championships, HOKA has effectively constructed a relatively complete trail-racing ecosystem.

See you in Wuyishan at the end of November!
