
After two days of fierce competition, the 2025 Chaigu Tangs Kuocangshan Trail Race finally entered its final race day, with the 25 km category starting at 7:40 AM on November 2. Total distance 25.9 km, cumulative ascent 1,034 m.
This year the Chaigu 25 km field was full of highlights, with Remi Bonnet from Switzerland — world champion in the mountain vertical kilometer and VK world record holder — becoming the center of attention. Domestic top trail runners Shen Jiasheng, rising star Shi Guo and several other elites lined up at the start.
With an ITRA performance score as high as 957, Remi Bonnet dominated almost from the start, running the whole way with great ease and style — he rewrote the Chaigu 25 km course record with a time of 1:47:24.
19-year-old Shi Guo from Guizhou, after finishing runner-up in the Ninghai 50 km, once again stunned everyone today; after the start he closely chased Remi Bonnet and Spain's Fabian Venero. After thatShi Guo overtook Fabian Venero, ultimately ran 1 hour 52 minutes 39 seconds, to take second place.
Spanish youngster Fabian Venero ran 1 hour 53 minutes 31 seconds to finish third.
In the women's race, Yang Yan led for the entire distance, finishing in 2 hours 16 minutes 37 seconds, reaching Xingshan Gate first to become the women's champion.
Luo Qiong took the women's runner-up spot in 2 hours 17 minutes 19 seconds, Xiong Binbin—after finishing fifth in the 50 km category—ran 2 hours 18 minutes 57 seconds today to claim third place.
As elite athletes in the 25 km category arrived one after another, the top three in the T³G category, specially created for Chaigu Tangs' 10th anniversary, were also announced. Athletes who raced across three competition days claimed their super honors today — they completed a total of 181.9 km and 10,246 m of elevation gain.
Zhang Sheng on the strength of excellent performances in the 105 km and 50 km categories, successfully claimed the T³G title, with a total time of 20 hours 51 minutes 33 seconds, Zhang Weiqiang finished second in 21 hours 52 minutes 19 seconds, Li Ning took third in 22 hours 20 minutes 44 seconds.

Steady and methodical Deng Ronghua claimed victory with a total time 26 hours 06 minutes 29 seconds, Xie Wenfei recorded a three-day total of 26 hours 59 minutes 36 seconds, finishing second among the women, Liu Shuangfang finished third in the women's category with 28 hours 59 minutes 48 seconds.
