46-year-old Webster is a veterinarian from the Isle of Man, now living in East Sussex, England, and is relatively new to the ultramarathon scene, but she has already been making a big impact on this circuit since 2023.

Her result exceeded the previous world record set in 2023 by Japanese runner Miho Nakata by 8.259 kilometers (5.131 miles). Improvements in this event are generally measured in meters, so the margin of her new record is truly enormous.

The race was held on a 1.5-kilometer loop, and Webster completed 185 laps within 24 hours and had started the 186th lap before time expired (she did not complete that lap; the race ended partway through it).
