Early this morning, the 2026 Chongli 168 Super Trail Race 70-kilometer field saw its champion cross the line.
Zhang Huohua won the men's title, Meng Guangfu finished second, 34 seconds behind.
American Shea Aquilano took the women's title, Ren Ti finished second, 47 seconds back.
Due to heavy rain in Chongli, the course used an alternate route, shortening the total distance to 57 kilometers with approximately 2,200 meters of elevation gain.As a result, the race moved at a faster tempo and the battle for victory was especially dramatic.比赛节奏变得更快，冠军争夺尤为精彩刺激。
The 30-kilometer race held this morning also used the alternate route.
American Liam Meirow won the men's race; Wen Min was second and Qi Zhaohai third. The top three were separated by less than 46 seconds.
Chang Miaomiao won the women's race, Zhang Xi was second, and Li Yingmei third.
Marathon runners Fan Zuozheng, Wu Xiangdong and Xu Le made their trail-running debuts and 'happily' completed the course.

Zhang Huohua wins 70-kilometer title
Meng Guangfu 34 seconds back for runner-up
At 10:00 PM on July 11, the Chongli 168 Super Trail Race 70-kilometer field started in a rainy night.
The men's elite field was stacked, including Meng Guangfu, Zhang Huohua, Zhao Hu, He Fujun and Wang Ruqin, all with a shot at the win.
After the start the lead group moved very fast. He Fujun reached CP1 Heping Station first, with Zhao Hu close behind. Zhang Huohua and Dai Yuneng were third and fourth, Meng Guangfu fifth. The gaps among the top five were only a few dozen seconds.
From CP1 to CP2 at the top of Cuiyun Mountain, the top five were separated by only five seconds, but positions shifted: Zhao Hu entered the station first, followed by Meng Guangfu, Dai Yuneng and Zhang Huohua, with He Fujun in fifth.
At CP3 Yunding Ski Park, Dai Yuneng hit the aid station first, with Meng Guangfu and Zhang Huohua right behind. Zhao Hu had been dropped by nearly four minutes; He Fujun remained fifth and Wang Ruqin sixth.
From CP3 to CP4 Wanlong Ski Resort, Zhang Huohua covered the section in just 45 minutes 18 seconds and moved into the lead — but only one second ahead of Dai Yuneng and Meng Guangfu. The three-way battle was fierce. He Fujun was fourth, already nine minutes back.
The contest between Dai Yuneng, Zhang Huohua and Meng Guangfu continued to CP5 Anaya Chongli with virtually no gaps. The title was likely to be decided in the final stretch. In an almost 60-kilometer trail race, such a close fight for the win was truly thrilling.
In the end, Zhang Huohua won in 4:31:30 — his third Chongli 168 title.
Meng Guangfu was runner-up in 4:32:04, just 34 seconds behind. Dai Yuneng finished third in 4:34:43.

American wins 70-kilometer women's title
Ren Ti takes runner-up after near comeback
In the women's race, American Shea Aquilano led from the gun, holding nearly a two-minute lead over Zhang Ting at CP1.
Ren Ti followed closely behind Zhang Ting. Fourth-placed Fan Kaili was four minutes off the lead. Huang Xuemei was fifth, seven minutes back.
By CP2 the race began to take shape. Shea Aquilano extended her lead to about five minutes. Ren Ti and Zhang Ting ran together and entered the station together. Fan Kaili remained fourth. Liang Yan moved ahead of Huang Xuemei into fifth.
Shea Aquilano continued to hold roughly a five-minute lead at CP3. Ren Ti had pulled away from Zhang Ting into second. Zhang Ting and Fan Kaili arrived at CP3 back-to-back, about 12 minutes down on the leader. Barring any major incident, the top two positions were largely settled.
From CP3 to CP4 Shea Aquilano stretched the lead to six minutes — had the title already been decided? Ren Ti was second, ten minutes clear of third-placed Fan Kaili.
Zhang Ting and Fan Kaili crossed the line hand-in-hand, both clocking 6:01:22.

Liam Meirow and Chang Miaomiao take men's and women's titles
The Chongli 168 Super Trail Race 30-kilometer field started at 6:00 AM today. Like the 70K, it used the alternate route: distance was cut to 23 kilometers with about 630 meters of elevation gain. The race progressed very quickly.
American Liam Meirow showed impressive speed, leading from the first checkpoint and ultimately winning in 1:35:36.
Xiang Xinpeng took second with a net time of 1:35:50; Wen Min surged to third in 1:35:59. The top three were separated by only 23 seconds, making for a fiercely competitive finish.
On the women's side, Chang Miaomiao won in 1:52:36. Zhang Xi was second in 1:53:54. Li Yingmei took third in 1:55:46.
Marathon runners Fan Zuozheng, Wu Xiangdong and Xu Le all finished, with times of 2:18:06, 2:18:09 and 2:18:09, respectively.
