Recently, the UTMB World Series officially announced that two races will be added to the 2026 calendar: the Zugspitz Ultra Trail in Germany and the Oman Ultra Trail.

·Zugspitz Ultra Trail (Germany)

The "Salomon Zugspitz Ultra Trail (powered by Ledlenser)" is set against Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak. At 2,962 meters, it sits on the border between Germany and Austria and is a popular destination for skiing and trail running.

Zugspitz Ultra Trail by UTMB® will take place June 18-20, 2026, featuring seven categories from 20 km to 100 miles.

Registration for this race will open to point holders on November 11, 2025. Public registration opens on November 13, 2025. The registration link is https://zugspitz.utmb.world/.

·Oman by UTMB

After debuting on the Ultra-Trail® World Tour seven years ago, 'Oman by UTMB®' (Oman by UTMB®) will return to the global race calendar from 10–12 December 2026, officially joining the UTMB World Series. The event is built on Oman's flagship annual mountain race, the Himam Trail Run Race.

Set against the dramatic Hajar Mountains (Hajar Mountains) and inspired by Oman's ancient trade routes, the race will feature four distances: 100 miles, 100 km, 50 km and 20 km.

Registration for this event will open  to UTMB index holders on 3 February 2026 ， and will open to the global public on February 5 , the registration website is https://oman.utmb.world/ .

According to the official website, there are currently 62UTMB World Series. After Ninghai withdrew, China currently has six by UTMB races: Yunqiu Mountain, Dajingmen, Xiamen, Da Shudao, Hong Kong Lantau Island, and Kenting (Taiwan).
