The 2026 UTMB has wrapped up, with the top three men and women coming from six different brands.
Blandine L’Hirondel became the first French woman in ten years to win the UTMB women’s title and, historically, the second woman to complete the Grand Slam. Decathlon, after its TDS women’s victory, was once again on the top step—taking two titles at this year’s UTMB.
Norda’s 055 proved under “Cocodona king” Rachel Entrekin’s feet that it’s not only strong in ultra-distance events but remains competitive on the undulating, technical terrain of UTMB. And which HOKA mystery test shoe helped Emily Schmitz chase into third?
ASICS, following Tom Evans’ win last year, effectively retained the men’s crown this year—only the champion changed to Ben Dhiman. Last year’s runner-up finally upgraded this year and became the first to finish UTMB inside 19 hours. Although the course’s technical difficulty was reduced by the weather, the 18:16:29 finishing time is still staggering, and according to interviews Ben Dhiman had more left in the tank.
The other two men’s podium spots went to On and ACG. ACG also had a presence across the OCC, CCC and UTMB races in 2026.
Which shoe left the strongest impression on you at this year’s UTMB?
