August is here, which means the trail-running scene has officially entered UTMB season.

The 2026 UTMB finals will be held August 24–30.

跑野大爆炸 has secured live broadcast rights for the three main UTMB final races — UTMB (174 km, starts August 27), CCC (101 km, starts August 28) and OCC (60 km, starts August 28) — and will provide Chinese-language commentary to a global audience. Stay tuned.

The elite start lists haven’t been released yet, but a sizable contingent of Chinese trail-running elites is expected to attend — for example, Yao Miao is set to compete in the CCC field.

Before UTMB, in early August there are two more Golden Trail World Series races: the Austria stop, the Pitz Valley Glacier Trail, and the Swiss stop, Sierre-Zinal. Paoye Dabaozha and Yueye Kantai will provide Chinese-language commentary worldwide and livestream the events—please stay tuned.

The Golden Trail focuses on short-distance racing, so it’s ideal for pre-UTMB tune-ups.

Confirmed by Paoye:

Guan Yousheng and Xiong Binbin will compete at the Austrian round.

Yao Miao and Tang Jingyan; Guan Yousheng, Zi Juwei, Wang Ruqin and Zhao Hu will compete in the Swiss round.

Last year Yao Miao finished sixth at Sierre-Zinal and then went on to win the UTMB OCC. What will the storyline be this year?

Guan Yousheng will contest two consecutive Golden Trail World Series races, facing international stars such as Elazzaoui Elhousine and Remi Bonnet — what kind of form will he show?
