In the early hours Beijing time, the UTMB main race TDS category — 145 km with roughly 9,500 m of elevation gain — decided its winners.

In the women's race, France's Sarah Vieuille took the win. She chose the domestic brand Decathlon's KIPRUN RACE ULTRA 2 in its trail-running version. It's also interesting that she didn't opt for the KIPSUMMIT RACE, which had already become an instant hit during its promotion.

Alice Meigni took second wearing the older TECTON X 2. The TECTON X 2 has deeper lugs and is better suited to the more technical terrain of the TDS. Third-placed Alyssa Clark chose On's flagship trail-racing shoe, the Cloudultra Pro.

In the men's race, France's Remy Brassac won wearing the Chinese running brand Mount to Coast M1 — the brand's second victory at this year's UTMB (the other was yesterday's MCC women's winner, Belgium's Noemie Lepoutre).

Also from France, Pierre-Adrien Hivert chose LA SPORTIVA's "破九 Pro". As a top-level racing model, the shoe is well balanced across attributes and offers excellent control and traction on complex terrain.

Italian Davide Rivero was penalized for an unauthorized shoe change and lost out on third. Original fourth-placed Nicolas Cournt was promoted to third, and his Salomon GENESIS 2 also appeared on the list.
